Operation sentinelle
In 1998, Autobus Laval inaugurated a preventative measure called "Sentinelle Operation", designed by the APAQ (Association des propriétaires d’autobus du Québec) organisation. This measure assures the security of our students as they travel to and from school on our school buses. Below, you will find the protocol for this preventative measure.
User Protocol
| Step 1: Before the vehicle departs |
|---|
| The driver removes the " OPERATION SENTINELLE " label from behind the bus. | | The driver then checks each seat of his bus. | | The driver places the label on his bus' sun visor facing the passengers - ensuring a clear view. | | | | Step 2: While the vehicle is movement |
|---|
| The label must remain in place during the entire transportation route. | | | | Step 3: After the last passenger drops-off and each time the driver leaves his vehicle. |
|---|
| The driver removes the label and places it on the interior back door of the vehicle. | | The driver then can check each seat. | | The driver then posts the label so that the "VERIFIED" status is visible from the exterior of the vehicle. This means installing the label in a vertical position in the window of the back door of the vehicle. |
